Dog Days of Summer

It's the dog days of summer.. those are the days of constant picnics, parties, dinners, and gatherings.  There's always beer there too.. along with the kind of food that you have to be careful with.  I've been good for the most part.. despite the fact that I haven't lost more weight.  On the other hand.. I haven't gained any weight.. I'm still in the 250 neighborhood and at about a 30 pound total loss.

Progress.. not perfection.  While I wish I was able to say right now that I was down to 240 or lower.. I have to look at what Jenny Craig has done for me.  Jenny Craig has taken a guy who used to eat like absolute crap.. and made him into a guy who will have a cheesebuger and a beer and call it a meal.  The old Pauly?  The summer 2010 Pauly?  I would have had 2 burgers.. and 10 beers. 

Here's a good example of why I am so happy that I've decided to be with Jenny Craig.  Just this last weekend, I went to Keuka Lake with my girlfriend's family.  That means.. time with no shirt.  For once, I wasn't embarassed!!  I was just talking about Pauly from the summer of 2010.. that Pauly didn't want to be seen without his shirt on.  This Pauly is proud.

250 Again

So here's the good news.. I'm down 32 total pounds.  Here's the bad news.. over the past few weeks I've been stuck between 250 and 255 pounds.  I can't seem to get past this.. but yesterday in my meeting with Shannon over at Jenny Craig in Henrietta we really laid out a plan to get me past this.

Setback to 255

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa I had a little setback again.  I went home for the weekend to Ohio for my brother's graduation and for Mother's Day and I gained 5 freaking pounds.  I'm not as depressed about this gain as I was last time.. because I did have a lot of fun this weekend and I wouldn't do anything differently.. but I do gotta get my ass back down to 250.

Easter Weekend

So I had a setback this weekend.. it was Easter.. and damn right I'm gonna use that as an excuse.  I gained 2 pounds this week.  It was tough, I actually got emotional, and Shannon (my Jenny Craig mentor) gave me a hug and told me about the couple of set backs that she has had.  I'm not posting any new photos this week.. because I don't look any better.  But I'm promising you and myself right now that I will be back to losing at my weigh-in next Monday.

I've Lost 22.9 Pounds:

I had my 4th weigh in yesterday and lost another 6.6 pounds for a grand total now of 22.9 pounds in just under 1 month!!  I started Jenny Craig on March 15, 2011.. as of today.. April 12, 2011.. I'm already down 22.9 pounds.  Check out my week 4 pics:
