With the beautiful weather we have this weekend, and as we prepare to spring forward by setting our clocks ahead Sun. morning at 2am, this guy may have pushed the feeling of spring fever to the limit. State Police report they arrested 28-year-old George Barkley of Bath after they caught him riding a stolen lawn mower while allegedly drunk. Yes, drunk on a moving mower. State Police received a report to be on the lookout for a stolen Craftsman lawn mower and spotted Mr. Barkley riding it on Liberty St. in Bath. Since cop cars have much bigger engines than what you use to cut your lawn, there was no chase involved. After stopping the roving mower, Barkley failed a DWI test with a BAC of .10 and was charged. Moral of this story from the Southern Tier, even though we all have a touch of spring fever this wknd., don't push it. And don't wheel out the mower yet, especially if it's not yours.

Born in Canandaigua NY, Pete Kennedy grew up the youngest of 5 Irish kids of Marian and T. Hamilton Kennedy. His dad "Ham" was elected as Mayor of the city of Canandaigua and served 14 years while his youngest son Pete stole the title "Mayor". Ham earned the title and Pete pilfered it.
Pete helped a bunch of his buds at St. Marys School to found an actual radio station that played music over the PA system during lunch. Many of the nuns were less than impressed by the musical selections this young mob played over WSMR. Later, "Mayor" also served as captain of his beloved Canandaigua Academy football team the Braves.
After successfully graduating from SUNY Geneseo where he spent many hours "studying" humanity while DJing and bartending at the world famous Inn Between, he headed to the bright lights of the big city of Rochester NY where he's been rockin' Rochester radio waves for 25 years, now back on the air at 95.1 the Brew.
When not heckling callers and having fun with them on air, he's actively out working' the streets at various community and charitable events. Last year alone he was involved in over 120 events and has plans for many more in 2012.
