One suspect from the Boston Bombing is dead, and the other is still on the run after a confrontation with the police in Cambridge yesterday. The suspect is thought to be armed and dangerous, and wearing a white hat. The two have international links and are both believed to be living here illegaly.

Best Tease Ever

Wease opens the show by telling us at 8:30am he's gonna announce an idea for something he's gonna do on the radio that's never ever been done on radio, or even thought of.  Whatever it is, he says it could help a few people... but he says he might need permission first.  Can't wait to find out what this is.

There's a stupid news story about a woman allergic to sperm, and this leads to a discussion of allergies, Marianne being allergic to her cat as a kid, and scratch tests that Wease took as a kid to determine his allergies.  Do they still give scratch tests 50 years later?  We find out they do.

Today's prep service joke of the day that pisses us off.... "Glee"star Naya Rivera posed nude for the new edition of "Allure".  "Awesome!  I LOVE naked girls!" replied zero "Glee" fans anywhere.... Pauly and Billy are both "Glee" fans, and stopped making out with each other to say they think Naya is hot.

George Brown from I Heart Radio's 24/7 News calls to update us on the Boston Marathon Bombing.  Police are looking for a suspect that is caught on video, and talks about yesterday's false report of an arrest.  We talk about how news services race to be the first to report stuff, and when it's wrong how it can damage reputations.

Wease reiterates his tease from earlier... an announcement at 8:30 of something he's gonna do on the radio that's never been done before.

Leave it to the terrible Buffalo Sabres to beat the Boston Bruins last night, on a night when everyone was rooting for Boston.  The Sabres won 3-2 in a shootout after Buffalo tied the game with 26 seconds left in the 3rd period.  The most emotional moment of the evening was the crowd singing the National Anthem at the top of their lungs.  Goosebumps.

John also nails a "This Date In History"... 90 years ago today was the first game at Yankee Stadium, with Babe Ruth hitting a homerun.

Marshall Fine Film Reviews 

Marsh joins us a day early because he's heading to Vegas to interview Jeff Bridges where Bridges is performing with his band.

The only big movie opening this week is  "Oblivion", starring Tom Cruise as a security repairmen stationed on an evacuated Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying alien threat who still scavenges what's left of our planet.  Marshall wishes he liked this movie better, but it's too derivative of better movies, and wastes the talents of the people inviolved.

What Is Wease's Bit?

Has Wease been overseling his idea all day?  He wants us to tell him if he did....  Every week Wease goes to a doctor for testosterone injections and the doc tells him about another type of injection (I believe called Vitalize) that goes into the penis and supplies a boner of granite strength.  Way stronger than Viagara, Cialis, and any other medication available.  This is for people with cancer and other diseases that make erections difficult.

Ya know how Wease has gotten prostate exams to show guys how easy it is?  Wease has offered to get this shot in front of all of us... needle to the junk... huge Wease boner... does the last half hour of the show in a state of arousal, and then goes home to give Doreen a double album's worth of lovin'.

We say he didn't oversell the bit... we bet no one has ever done this bit, and we think it's a great idea.  We've already gotten a call from a listener who can legitimitally use this medicine, and Wease is proud to have educated him about it.  Excuse the lack of visuals in this segment... I might get in trouble putting up pics of turgid penises.

Along Comes Mary

Wease is joined on the phone by Nick Minietor, a Rochester resident and brother of songwriter Tandyn Almer, most famous for writing the hit "Along Comes Mary" for The Association, and "Sail On Sailor" for The Beach Boys.  Wease was turned on to Nick and Tandyn thru this great article in The Washington Post after Tandyn's death.  Nick tells us more about his brother's wacky life, and the recent release of an album recorded by Tandyn in the 60's.

Older Women Just Wanna Have Fun

Is 36 year old Marianne considered a cougar?  We learn the new age to be considered a cougar has been lowered to 37, so Ms. Sierk is knocking on the window.  This leads to talking about older actresses that guys want to bang including Susan Sarandon, Raquel Welch, Lynda Carter, Susan Lucci, Bo Derek, and more.

Adam and Marianne?

Has anyone else noticed Adam hitting on Marianne for the past couple hours?  Is there any sexual tension?  Marianne says they're known each other too long and are like brother and sister.  Maybe like a step brother and sister that want to bang.

I'm A Lumberjack And I'm OK

Funny what catches on early in the morning.. Pauly and Brooksie are gonna be at a lumberjack event later this week, and Wease starts talking about the stuff lumberjacks do like log rolling, chainsaw sculpting, etc... and how fun it'd be to watch... way more fun than golf or NASCAR.  Wease and Billy confuse everyone else in the room by breaking into Monty Python's Lumberjack Song, which no one else on the show had heard of.

Tools With Sports

John brings up that many MLB teams played the Boston Red Sox theme song "Sweet Caroline" at their stadiums last night to show solidarity with Boston after the Marathon bombings... even Yankee Stadium played their arch enemie's song.  Wease thinks it's funny that a big deal is being made out of The Yanks playing the Sox song like it's the North vs. the South during The Civil War.

The Mets got swept by the Rockies in a doubleheader yesterday in a freezing cold stadium.  Billy is stunned to here NY lost the second game... they were winning 8-2 when he went to bed.

The Sabres play the Boston Bruins tonight, and even Wease thinks he might be rooting for Boston.  Buffalo would look like schmucks if they win.

Also, "The Voice Of Football" Pat Summerall died yesterday at age 82.

Redneck News

We start Redneck News with this past weekend's NASCAR results, Kyle Busch winning the NRA 500 (with just a little teasing of how we don't get it).  Some racing fans in the audience call to defend their favorite sport, and explain why it's fun.  This winds up taking up the entire segment, and we never get to the Wayne County criminals, but here's a couple bonus stories. 

Newark Village Police reported the arrest on Wednesday (4/10) of Law­rence Knight, age 31 of East Union Street in Newark for Misdemeanor Pub­lic Lewd­ness.

It is al­leged that on March 21st at the New­ark Public Librar, Knight exposed his penis to a fe­male in a “lewd and provoca­tive manner” and appeared to be mas­turbating.

Knight was released on an appear­ance ticket for Newark Village Court on May 1st.

State Police in Lyons reported the arrest on Wednesday (4/10B) at 12:15am of Barnaby May, age 18, of Hatch Road in the Town of Ga­len for Criminal Trespass in the 2Bnd De­gree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree.

It is alleged that on Tuesday between 2:30-3pm. May broke a base­ment door to gain entry to his parents home to reportedly retrieve some of his belongings. He was arraigned on the charges and remanded to jail on $500 cash/$ 1000 bond and will reappear in Galen Town Court on April 28th.

A discussion of DVR ettiquette (do you cancel your chick's recording if you're watching something live?), shows that have jumped the shark, favorite shows of the Wease Show, and the fakeness of "reality" shows like "Parking Wars", "Lizard Lick Towing", and "Pawn Stars".  Pauly is mad that Wease has given up on Zooey Deschanel's sitcom "New Girl"

Car Wars

This number seems REALLY high . . . or maybe I'm the only GOOD person left out there.  Yeah, that's probably it.

According to a new survey, 57% of people admit they've INTENTIONALLY DAMAGED another car.  They haven't smashed it, but they have scratched it a little.

And the number one reason people gave for intentionally scratching someone else's car was . . . JEALOUSY.

People also say they've intentionally scratched someone's car for parking too close to them . . . because they were NOISY NEIGHBORS . . . over a relationship . . . and even because they don't like the way the person LOOKS.

Pauly talks about how as a young punk kid he once egged a car, and another time he chucked rocks at a car, and now feels awful about it.  A caller tells us how egg shells are like razors on car paint.

This leads to discussion of recycling, the environment, going green, etc... not quite sure how this lead us back to the topic of Wease's in studio farting and peeing, but it did. 

"Stupidest Thing I've Ever Heard"

Richard Belzer

Actor/Comedian/Author Richard Belzer calls us to promote his new book "The Hit List" in which he and his co-author David Wayne examine and try to to uncover the truth about the many witness deaths tied to the JFK assassination. For decades, government pundits have dismissed these “coincidental” deaths, even regarding them as “myths” as “urban legends.”

Like most people, Richard and David were initially unsure about what to make of these ‘coincidences’. After all, events don’t “consult the odds” prior to happening; they simply happen. Then someone comes along later and figures out what the odds of it happening were. Some of the deaths seemed purely coincidental; heart attacks, hunting accidents. Others clearly seemed noteworthy; witnesses who did seem to know something and did seem to die mysteriously.

Richard also talks about the death of Marilyn Monroe, and all the weird things about that, saying she was murdered.  Backing it up with medical facts.  This is covered in his book "Dead Wrong"

Ask Wease

An listener asks via email what Wease would suggest as a great high school graduation party.  Marianne suggests whatever you do hire a street meat truck where folks can order their own hotdogs, burgers, etc...  A caller named Jamie thinks a pig roast is a great idea... luckily Jamie caters pig roasts.

For Marianne... what's going on in this picture?

Marianne says she was pretending to be drunk at a birthday party for the picture.  The ventriloquist dummy in the background is the dummy from the movie "Magic" with Anthony Hopkins, and a friend of hers was the owner of the puppet.

A listener named Stephanie asks how to handle a long distance relationship.  She's just moved to Rochester for a job, and now her boyfriend is 5-6 hours away.  They haven't been together long enough to talk about him moving in.  What should she do?  Wease gets the vibe she wants to dump him, so she should follow her insticts.

What does Wease think of the conspiracy theories surrounding the bombing at The Boston Marathon?  He hasn't heard any that have sounded feasible to him yet.

A single father wants to know how to handle talking to his daughter about getting her first period.  Wease says the guy should definitely sit down with her, tell her it's nothing to be embarrassed about, explain what's going on, and to Google other things he could say to her.

No Child...

We're joined in studio by actress Reenah L. Golden, who's starring in the one woman show "No Child..." in which Reenah transforms into the teachers, students, parents, administrators and janitors who inhabit our schools and shape the future of America.  Critics have said that it's an exuberant and devastatingly funny show about the collaborative power of the arts, and the influence one dynamic, determined teacher can have in altering the lives of her students.

Wease and Reenah discuss race, Bob Marley, improv, and Jesus.  She admires Wease's collection of Jesus figures and bobbleheads, and the fact that he has black and Peurto Rican Jesus along with the white "Hall and Oates" Jesus that everyone knows.

Tuesday

It's probably impossible for you not to know what happened yesterday afternoon, but just in case somehow you missed it...

Yesterday at 2:50 in the afternoon, Eastern Time, two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.  At least three people were killed . . . including an 8-year-old boy . . . and at least 144 were injured.  The investigation is just beginning, but it's considered an act of terror, no matter who's behind it.

We open the show talking with George Brown of 24/7 News in Boston, a news service provided by I Heart Radio.  He updates us on the gruesome injuries caused mostly by debris, glass, and flying projectiles from the blast.  George describes the confusion immediately following the explosions, and how the police had to check out all of the hundreds of backpacks left at the scene by runners and spectators.

George has only had an hour or two of sleep since the tragedy, and talks of being greeted by security as he was getting of his train home, and subjected to a pat down.

Tools With Sports

Tools talks about the cancellation of last night's Boston Bruins game because of the explosion.  The Red Sox played an 11:05 game, and had been done playing for about an hour before chaos started, winning 3-2.  At this point we're still not sure if the Sabres will be playing in Boston tomorrow.

The Red Wings are off to a bad start, losing last night to lower their record to 2-9.  We explain to Marianne that means 2 wins and 9 losses.

We speak to Chili resident Katie Mutter, who ran in yesterday's Boston Marathon about her experience there yesterday.  She had been done with the race for about an hour, and was cooling down, hanging out with her mom and sister when the explosion hit.  They decided at that point the best thing they could do was get out of there, and immediately drove back to Rochester.  This was only Katie's second marathon, the first being one in Rochester last year.  She's still shaken up by what happened yesterday, especially since just an hour earlier her family was right where a bomb went off.

Sean Doherty

Another wiitness to the Boston Marathon explosions calls to tell us of his experiences.  Sean Doherty is a fellow Clear Channel employee, working as a Top 40 DJ in Arizona, but is a Boston native who was home on vacation to visit friends and family, rooting on some buddies running the race.  He says his life is changed forever by what he saw, and his recollections mirror what others have said... the fear, the whisperings of terrorism immediately after the explosion, the blood and gore, the conflict on whether to run away from the commotion, or to run towards it to try and help.

Doug gives us a behind the scenes look at what goes on at a TV station like his when something the the Boston bombings happen, and we'd like to thank him for helping get us guests for this morning.

A professor from Roberts Wesleyan named Lori Sousa calls us with some thoughts.  She is a runner than was planning on participating in the marathon, but changed her mind because she felt she wasn't in the proper shape.  She feels that whoever planned this terrorist attack had timed it for the most damage to human life, because when the bombs went of that was when most runners are crossing the finish line.

We're wondering why no one has claimed responsibility, because if you went to the lengths to do something this terrible ouldn't you want to let people know? Doug brings up the possibility that maybe the person responsible is injured or dead.

Another First Account

Boston journalist Chris Faraone is an accquaintance of Marianne's, and was hanging out near the site of the explosion when things went down yesterday.  His take on the situation includes the level of reporting during something like this, and how writers that have been relegated to reporting on Kim Kardashian now get to do what they do best.  Chris compares his situation yesterday to his being in NY on 9/11.  Look for Chris' written piece HERE later today.

Boston Audio

We have a ton of audio of the craziness surrounding the explosion yesterday.  Here's a few pieces.

Wease and Billy debate whether the Mark Fuhrman in the above clip is the same Fuhrman that became notorious for being a racist police officer during the OJ Simpson trial.  Wease says yes, Billy says no.  We learn Wease was right after some research.  We also talk about the different ways we learned what had happened during our days yesterday.

F.B.I Thoughts

We speak to retired FBI agent Christopher Kerr about what the FBI and other law enforcement agencies will be doing in the upcoming days to find out who is behind the bombing in Boston.  Wease asks what type of stuff can they find in a situation like this, and Mr. Kerr reminds us that the OKC bombing was solved partially by a piece of an axel that was found in the explosion sight.  They will also be looking thru camera footage taken from street cameras and cel phones of people that were there.

Chris also tells us tales of other crime cases he's been involved in, stuff involving mobsters, drugs, guns, and Boston gangster Whitey Bulger.

Talking to Christopher Kerr reminded Wease that he has a brother-in-law that's also a retired FBI agent, so we call him.  We always like talking to him because he's always so cheery, and sounds like Hank Hill from "King of the Hill".

Another Marathon Runner

Kirsten Ripple is a Hornell native that ran in yesterday's race, and tells her feelings of being so close to an act of terrorism.  Wease also asks about her training regimen, and how she made the most famous marathon the first one she's ever run.

A caller remind us of a recent tweet that caused a bit of controversy.  Anyone remember this message from Stevie Johnson...

Old Man Pissed

Wease starts the morning talking about the stuff that annoyed him over the weekend... he's calling it being "Old Man Pissed", because he thinks the stuff he doesn't like is stuff that young people dig.  The focus of his anger is a TV show that was being watched at poker... MTV's "Ridiculousness".  It's one of those shows that presents viral videos of people hurting themselves while star Rob Dyrdec and his staff make stupid comments.  Wease thinks it's the dumbing down of society that makes shows like this popular.

Tools With Sports

Adam Scott won The Masters over the weekend, but as Wease said, if you didn't know that by now you don't care.  John explains the penalty Tiger Woods was assessed on Saturday for a bad drop after hitting his ball into the water.

The Sabres won yesterday, and are now 4 points out of the last playoff spot, and have 5 games left to play.

Wease then tells the story of Blue Jays knuckleball pitcher R.A. Dickey, who Wease became a fan of last night after seeing his story on 60 Minutes, overcoming adversities from being molested as a child, to injuries, to years of struggling in the minors, to become the feelgood story of the year last year winning 20 games as a Met, and winning the Cy Young Award.

Malik Evans

We speak to Rochester City School Board president Malik Evans regarding the controversy surrounding  the "Common Core Testing".  There is a new test for 3rd-6th graders being administred which some parents and teachers feel shouldn't be given because the kids and the educators will be unfairly evaluated based on the results.  Mr. Evan denies this, saying that the kids can't fail the test, and that it's a way to guage learning.  He says "calm down everyone... take the test.

Wease then talks to a teacher who is against the testing, saying that some of the stuff on the exam isn't even being taught, and that it's just a way for the test company to make money, and to make the teachers look bad.

Melon Monday

Time to head outside and BURN YOUR BRAS.  But not to protest for women's rights or to get Nixon out of office.  Burn them because they've been LYING TO YOU.

A professor named Jean-Denis Rouillon at the University of Besancon in France just finished up a FIFTEEN-YEAR STUDY on bras.  And he concluded that you don't need a bra . . . in fact, wearing one is BAD for you.

Quote, "Medically, physiologically, anatomically, breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity.  On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra."

For the study, Rouillon has spent the past 15 years regularly measuring 130 women's breasts.  Some of the women wore bras, some didn't.

And he found the women without bras had less back pain, perkier breasts, better posture, and less trouble breathing.

Movies

Wease and Pauly both went to The Little Theater this weekend to see "The Place Beyond The Pines", and highly recommend it.  Pauly commentsthat one of the things he likes about the Little is that snacks and drinks are regular human size, and not the HUGE sizes that other theaters serves.  Who can drink more than a small soda at Tinseltown?  Billy, that's who... he saw "42" over the weekend, and had his large drink gone before the trailers even started.  Sure, the cup holds 44 oz. but most of that is ice, right folks? 

If you see the flick that Wease and Pauly went to look for a great joke ment only for Rochestarians.

Wease also went to see Scary Movie 5 with Sammy.  He hated it, but not as much as he thought he would, admitting he got a few laughs.

Wease Pee (Again)

Again?  Marianne was out of the room during the commercial break, so Wease went back to an old habit that he promised to break.  He went to the corner of the studio to relieve himself into a cup, but the Marianne returned and busted him.  We get into one of the many debates we've had recently about the grossness level of what he's doing.  Wease says we're too uptight, so now he'll have to go to the actual restroom during the next break.

Test Controversy Part 2

Wease speaks to Willa Powell, the longest reigning member of the city school board, and whose opinion differs from Malik Evans regarding the controversial common core testing which begins tomorrow in Rochester.

Willa Powell said there's no good reason for her third grade son or other children to take new Common Core state tests.

Powell said a lot of the material being tested was never taught in school. She said these tests "do children no good" and cause unncessary anxiety for many youngsters.

Powell said though the state called these tests "mandatory", in her opinion, that isn't the case. In fact, Powell urged other parents who have concerns to make their decision known to their child's school before those state tests are held.

She said refusing to take the tests is as simple as telling your child to put the pencil down.

Willa considers these tests a waste of time, taking over an hour a day for the next few days.

I Just Shipped My Pants

Have you seen the new Kmart ad in which customers rave about the stores shipping capabilities?  Hilarious.

Wease revisits the topic of The Masters, and Tiger's penalty.  We've gotten a couple calls from people that say the viewer that busted the bad drop was Lindsey Vonn's ex husband.  Turns out that Lindsey's ex made a joke tweet about it, but gold fans are lame enough to think it's real.

Bob Seger, Lifesaver

Evie Branan, 79, of Flint, Mich., abruptly woke up from a five-year coma on May 7, 2011, and the first words out of her mouth were, "I want to go to a Bob Seger concert."

Now, almost two years later, she got her chance last Thursday at Seger's concert at the Palace in Auburn Hills.

It's her fifth time seeing Seger live.

Michelle Cross, an administrator at Willowbrook Manor, where Evie lives, even rented a limo to take her to the concert.

Wease wonders about how this lady talked after being in a coma for 5 years.  He tells stories about his lack of a voice after nonuse during his cancer treatment.

Pauly starts the show with an embarrassing story that happened to him yesterday.  He was at Pittsford Wegmans buying groceries he needed to make dinner, and when it came time to pay his debit card was denied.  He was sure he had the money in his account, and told the cashier to try again... and denied again.  It turned out that Pauly had used the card the day before for a business that had been flagged, so his card was flagged... nice of the bank to let Pauly know... Pauly pulled out another card that worked, but had to use the Wegman's bathroom before he left the store because he was so stressed he got the runs.

Wease's Metro Mattress live ad mention's Kathy Ireland furniture, and Wease wants to know how a chick that kicked field goals wound up maiking furniture.  Nice reference Wease... we talk about Ireland's career as an actress, model, close designer, etc...

The guy wearing the #6 Heat jersey above is named Eric Larson, and he made national news the other night for the sign he was holding when Lebron, Wade, and Bosh all sat for the game he was at.  Turns out Eric is a Rochester resident, and a Wease listener, who drove to Washington to with his buddy Wayne for the Wizards/Heat game.  He tells us how they had made that sign, along with a positive "Lebron Is The King" sign, and used the one that fit the situation.  The guys paid a premium for the tickets, because the NBA charges more for the better teams, and were disappointed that they didn't really get to see the team they love.  Wayne is sitting next to Eric looking dejected.  Wease completely agrees with Eric, thinking it's BS that the Big 3 didn't play at all, and a debate occurs between Wease and Ditullio about the teams responsibility to fans that pay to see them.  Eric tells us about a guy sitting in front of them from Cincinatti that drove 10 hours to see the superstars.

Marshall Fine Film Reviews

42...  Chadwick Boseman plays Jackie Robinson, the first African American to ever play major league baseball, and Harrison Ford is Branch Rickey, the guy who signed him to the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947.  Robinson wore the number 42 on his jersey.  It's the story of how Robinson and Rickey took a stand against prejudice, and changed the world forever. Marshall and Wease both thought this was an excellent, strong, emotional film, and a shame that some people with avoid it because it's too "old timey" looking.

Scary Movie 5...  Ashley Tisdale stars in the latest "Scary Movie", which features parodies of "Paranormal Activity", "Inception", "Black Swan", and "The Evil Dead".  The rest of the cast includes Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Heather Locklear, Molly Shannon, "Modern Family's" Sarah Hyland, "30 Rock's" Katrina Bowden, Snoop Dogg, Bow Wow, Mike Tyson, and white rapper Mac Miller.  They didn't screen it for critics, but you know what you're getting with these flicks, and if you think they're funny enjoy yourself.

Disconnect...  Jason Bateman, Alexander Skarsgard, and Paula Patton star in this movie about the consequences of modern technology on our relationships.  It hits some heavy topics . . . including identity theft, cyber-bullying, and teens on webcam sites.  Marsh says this is a very good movie with an excellent performance by Bateman in a rare serious role.

Doug, like the rest of us is glad it's Friday.  He's a huge golf fan, and will be watching The Masters while painting a couple rooms in his house.  We think he'll be doing the two most boring things ever... watching golf and paint dry at the same time.

Wease tells us that his teenage daughter Lucy has a new boyfriend, and after some investigation by Wease's older kids they find some pictures and correspondance between the two.  Wease was surprised, but not upset, to find out the young man was black... he is a little worried that in the picture the kid wasn't wearing a shirt, and he was wearing saggy pants.

Kevin Bozeman Comedian/Sports Savant

Kevin Bozeman is at The Comedy Club all weekend, and besides being funny he also has a sports betting service, and is proud he went 8 for 9 in baseball and basketball yesterday.

In one of those tangent filled conversations that can only happen on The Wease Show we talk about the concerts coming to CMAC, racism, how much former mayor of Rochester Bill Johnson looked like Grady from Sanford and Son, and the time Wease told an airport security guard that SHE looked like Charles Barkley.  I wonder if she looked like this...

The Twist

It's almost like playing a Best Of segment, but recreating it live.  A few months ago we discussed Chubby Checker and The Twist, and today the subject comes up again.  Wease talks about what a white song it is, and it should have more soul since Chubby is a black dude.  Billy brings up that the song was originally written and recorded by Hallk Ballard and the Midnighters... we play some of Hank's version and Wease thinks it's better, sounding more soulful (and I think he's right).

Bert Kreischer

Comedian Bert Kreischer joins us on the phone to promote his Travel Channel show "Trip Flip" in which he takes vacationers to strange and exciting places in the city they are visiting.  This week in Austin, TX they join the rodeo, sing and drink with The Dixie Chicks, and much more.

Bert also tells us about being written about in Rolling Stone magazine as America's Top Partier when he was in college (National Lampoon turned his story into the movie "Van Wilder"), and some of the crazy stuff he's done over the years on other reality shows he's hosted like "Hurt Bert", and "Bert the Conqueror".  Bert has been gored by a bull, tamed a lion, and been in an MMA match.

Gates Orlando and Geordie Robertson

Amerk legends Gates Orlando and Geordie Robertson are in studio to promote April is organ donation month, and the Amerks are partnering with the Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, along with the Amerks Alumni Association to raise awareness for organ donation.

Some former Amerks, including Hall-of-Famer Gates Orlando, who recently received a heart transplant will be on hand to speak to fans about the importance of organ donation.

"Right now at Strong, there are 45 people waiting for a heart transplant, about 150 people waiting for a liver transplant and about 400 people waiting for a kidney transplant," says Executive Director of the Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, Rob Kochik.

"When I first found out that I was going to get a donor heart, it didn't really hit me right away," says Gates Orlando, Amerks Hall of Famer and heart transplant recipient. "It just happened and it was an unreal feeling to basically feel normal again."

Turns out Marianne has some heart issues that eventually caused Gates' issues... she thinks that maybe she should go to the doctor.  Gates tells us how he died on the operating table, and was officially dead for 9 minutes.

Wease and Geordie have a long friendship, and they tell stories about the time Wease drove Geordie's car in a demolition derby that Geordie didn't know about... and also how Wease once stole one of Geordie's girlfriend.

Heart Attack Ack Ack Ack

We continue to talk with Gates Orlando about his trials and tribulations as someone that has had a heart transplant.  Pauly asks Gates what were the symptons that led him to realize he was sick.  Bad question... Wease Pauly and Billy are now all suffering from those symptoms.  Gates tells us stories of his year in the hospital, and his road to recovery.  Go to the Amerks game tonight and support organ donation.

Worst Break Up Lines

A list of the worst break up lines leads to Marianne telling us about an exboyfriend with a hidden drug problem, and a listener who tells us about her husband dumping her for another woman after 25 years of marriage.

This is just one columnist's opinion . . . not the results of a survey or anything . . . but supposedly these are the seven worst break-up lines.  And it's hard to argue with the choices . . .

Pyramid Schemes And Airplane Games

In a followup to stuff that's been happening on the show the past few days... Pauly received his door-to-door coffee yesterday, but unlike most people he wasn't pitched the opportunity to sell the coffee himself.  This leads to a long discussion of Pyramid Schemes, Airplane Games, $2,000 vacuum cleaners, and Cutco Knives.  Wease made a bunch of money in the Airplane Games that happened back in the 80's, but did get himself a set of $1200 knives from a door-to-door salesman.

Tools With Sports/Brooksie Gets "Scammed"

Ditullio brings up the start of the Masters golf tournament, and that's as far as we get with sports because the subject of golf gives Wease a chance to motherhucker Brooksie... he recently bought himself a membership that allows him to play the whole summer on 3 public golf courses, as much as he wants, for $450.  Wease and John think he way overpaid, and that he'll have to golf his ass off to come even close to recover the membership fee.  John thinks he could've joined a private course for $450.  Way to make Brooksie feel bad guys.

Signs, Signs, Everywhere's A Sign

Before their game Wednesday night in Washington, the Heat announced stars Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh would not play while they rest up for Miami's playoff run.

One fan probably wished he'd heard the news earlier.

A young man in the Verizon Center crowd Wednesday night displayed a sign that detailed his ordeal to make it to the game, only to see his favorite player on the bench.

The sign read: "Gas from NY $150. 2 tickets $660. Hotel room $200. LeBron on the bench ... Bullsh!*"

The question is, is the team misrepresenting the product the fans will see when they buy tickets?  Should partial refunds be offered?  Is it just the risk you take when you buy tickets?  This situation isn't the same as a player sitting because of injury.  It reminds us of the time the Cleveland Cavaliers played a preseason game in Rochester, and Lebron didn't play... but he did pretend he was going to go in once, just to mess with the fans.

Talking about the Fair got Wease reminiscing about his youth, and going to the freak shows where he saw his first hermaphrodite.  We learn that Marianne is  one of those people that believe the rumor about Jamie Lee Curtis being a hermaphrodite.  It is "undetermined" on Snopes, but the rest of us don't believe it.

Kevin Bozeman

Comedian Kevin Bozeman is in studio... he's at The Comedy Club all weekend.  We continue the conversation about Jamie Lee Curtis and her alleged penis, plus other celebrity rumors, like the Richard Gere gerbil story.

The sexuality stuff also has Wease talking about how he likes flat chests, skinny, little boy looking chicks... even though he never marries that style of woman.  Wease risks a visit from Human Resourses by mentioning the set of breasts being held by Marianne's tight yellow sweater.

Kevin tells us about how when he goes to a city he likes doing charity work, and "Paying It Forward", feeding homeless people, paying for people behind him in line at Dunkin Donuts, etc...  Wease likes the idea, and says he's gonna do that tomorrow.

Hanoi Rocks

We get a call from a listener from Hanoi, Viet Nam.  He's there teaching English to children, and living with four other teachers from around the U.S.  While talking about his experiences Wease asked if he has "yellow fever", and if he's getting laid.  The answer is no, they're "not his type".  Kevin Bozeman says if women have a vagina they're his type.  When we're done talking to the caller Wease admits sometimes he feels bad that he argues with everyone that has different opinions than him, and goes on to tell stories of lengths he has gone to for sex.  Kevin talks about slump busters he's had that could rate a negative 2 on a scale from 1-10 

Parma Johnny's

Wease and Pauly went for lunch yesterday at a restaurant on Lyell Ave. called Parma Johnny's, and can't rave enough about the chicken french, squid steak (huh?), lasagna, homemade lemoncello (sp?), meatballs, and on and on.  Sounds great, and can't wait to go.

Controversial Country

Wease talks about the most recent episode of his favorite show "Nashville" with Connie Britton and Hayden Pannetierre.  This leads to us talking about a controversial new song by Brad Paisley and LL Cool J called "Accidental Racist".  Here's Paisley on Leno talking about the controversy...

Public Opinion On Pubic Hair

I'm not saying that it's time for a 1970s REVIVAL when it comes to women's HAIR DOWN THERE.  The days of going COMPLETELY untamed aren't coming back.  But you don't have to get rid of ALL of it.

In a new survey, 43% of men said their favorite style for women's hair down there is to keep the natural "triangle" shape . . . but just, quote, "trimmed and tidy."  That 43% makes it the most popular style by FAR.

17% like a LANDING STRIP the most . . .

15% like a HEART SHAPE . . .

And only 12% like it TOTALLY BARE.

The LEAST popular style was a small square of hair.  Is this what they call the "Hitler's Mustache"?

Wease also tells us a story about a friend of his son Jake's who doesn't have testicles because of cancer, and is thinking of getting a surgery which will give him fake balls for cosmetic reasons, which Wease doesn't understand.

Naturally this conversation leads us back to sex, and if Wease didn't have balls would that make him a lesbian.  A bisexual station employee stops into the studio and schools us on the differences, what she likes, how she likes it, and the positives & negatives of her lifestyle.

Hey Marianne...

Since we've been teasing her with it for awhile  we finally tell Marianne why Wease thinks "a nut is a nut"... the famous story where in his young 20's, on leave from Viet Nam,  Wease was desperate to get laid, struck out on all counts, and excepted the offer of a knobber from a gay pal.  Wease was right, Marianne wasn't shocked, and thinks it's just another wrinkle in Wease's weird life.

Hump Day

Couple interesting stories in local news... Brooksie's nun growing up is in trouble.  A Roman Catholic nun with a gambling addiction has pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $130,000 from two rural western New York parishes.

 
Sister Mary Anne Rapp, 68, pleaded guilty Monday in Orleans County Court to grand larceny. She admits she stole the money from St. Mary's Church in Holley and St. Mark's Church in Kendall from March 2006 to April 2011.

 
Rapp faces up to six months in jail when she's sentenced July 1. She'll also be required to pay restitution that would be worked out at a later date.

 
Rapp was arrested in November after discrepancies were found during an audit.

 
Investigators said she stole the money to feed a gambling addiction and spent the money at western New York casinos.  Wease feels terrible for this chick.

Then the story of a car chase in the city, where the car had a pitbull in it, leads to a discussion of how much people love their dogs.  Marianne thinks the dogs don't really love their owners no matter what Wease and Pauly think about their pets.  Ms. Sierk says it's the pack mentality of the canines that draws them to their leaders (the humans), and not love.

Tools/Pepsi Max Field Of Dreams

John Ditullio comes in while we speak to Red Wings GM Dan Mason and Greece Native Johnny Perotti.  Perotti and Washington, D.C. fan Stephen Katchmark were chosen by Pepsi in an online contest last summer. Perotti will captain an American League squad that includes Hall of Famers Reggie Jackson, Wade Boggs and Rickey Henderson, plus Cooperstown hopefuls Pedro Martinez and Frank Thomas.

Katchmark will lead a National League team that features Hall of Famers Johnny Bench, Mike Schmidt and Ozzie Smith and former superstars Trevor Hoffman and Fred McGriff.

“This definitely will be one of the great events in Frontier Field history,” Red Wings general manager Dan Mason said. “It’s amazing when we get even one Hall of Famer in this town. Now, we’ll have six – and the others are all probable Hall of Famers.”

The six-inning exhibition is a hardball game that will match Martinez, who went 219-100 and won a World Series with the Boston Red Sox, against Hoffman, the San Diego Padres legend who recorded 601 saves.

We then go back to an earlier topic... dogs.  Tools used to be anti-dog, but now loves his Sparky.  Marianne had put a $500 cap on medical expenses for a pet.  John says his is up to $1000.

Spider-Man Info

We're joined on the phone by Nora Brown, the Executive Director Of The Fingerlakes Film Office.  She fills us in on the process in which the makers of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 picked Rochester to film a car chase scene.  If you're intersted in being an extra or production assistant they are looking for both, but to work on the movie they are asking that you already have experience working on a film set.  Email rochester@gwcnyc.com with a photo and contact information if you're interested.

Surprisingly, Wease tried to play dreamcrusher and tell her that Rochester got lucky with Spider-Man, and that not many films will come to our area.  Nora also tells us that our area makes over $23 million area from stuff being filmed in our area... movies, shorts, music videos, commercials, and more.  We just don't hear about most of it.

More With Wease's Pee

Who would've thought that for the third day in a row we'd be discussing Wease's pee.  Today's problem is where he's disposing it after he's done urinating in a cup.  If he's too lazy to go to the bathroom to actually relieve himself why would he go there to dispose of his waste?  Let's just say some people wouldn't be happy if they knew what was going on around here... Wease says we're a bunch of pussies.

Lilac Festival Update

Jeff Springut, promoter of this years Rochester Lilac Festival, is in studio to talk about this year's fest.  A couple changes include a wine tasting, some gourmet food stands, and a bigger emphasis on the flowers (which Wease thinks is lame, lame, lame), along with all the stuff you normally expect like great music and deep fried Oreos.  Concerts will include The Marshall Tucker Band, Eddie Money, Rusted Root, The Smithereens, and more.  Get the whole lineup, and all the festival info you need HERE.  Jeff and his partner Andrea are very excited Chuck Prophet and JC Brooks are coming to town, but since Billy is typing this he's giving you a video from the band he's looking forward to, The Smithereens...

Andy emails us from Boise, Idaho asking if he should move back to Rochester once his job in Boise is over, or should he stay where he is and try to find another job there, even though prospects aren't as good.  Wease says get your ass back here.

Jeff wants to know the latest on Wease's mercury levels since he hasn't talked about it lately.  He hasn't talked about it because he's basically been ignoring the problem, and still eating all the fish he wants.

An emailer wants to know what Wease and Marianne's biggest fears are.  Wease's fear involves the death of loved ones.  Marianne is afraid of ghosts... yup, ghosts.  We did hire the right chick.

Bet On Your Baby

We're joined on the phone by comedian Melissa Peterman, who is now hosting ABC's "Bet On Your Baby".  “Bet On Your Baby” is a family competition series that has parents trying to predict their 2-3 ½ year-old kids’ behaviors in playground games. Think “The Newlywed Game” in a sandbox.  Melissa tells us about a funny segment featuring a little boy being tempted by a remote control car and a cupcake.

Melissa also talks about her work in the sitcom "Reba", along with the movies Fargo, and Here Come's The Boom (one of Wease's recent favorites, starring Kevin James).

Melissa was pretty awesome on the air with us, and Wease is pretty sure he'd have a shot.  "Bet On Your Baby" will be on Saturday from 8-10pm.

Pauly's Coffee Story Part 2

A followup to Pauly's story from yesterday where Ryann (and her mom) thought Pauly had put her in danger by buying coffee from a neighbor door to door, because she thought he was potentially a stalker or criminal looking to rob their place.

The neighbor/salesman came back yesterday for payment on the coffee Pauly ordered the day before.  Ryann had given Googs instructions on how to handle the situation... which Pauly completely ignored, invited the guy in, had Ryann meet and talk to him, and she realized Pauly was completely right...  the guy was completely  awesome, and Ryann wound up ordering coffee of her own.

Way to go Pauly!!!!

The Wease Show Gets Wicked

We're joined in studio by actor Jay Russell, who plays goat professor Dr. Dillamond in the RBTL production of "Wicked".  He and Wease discuss the popularity of the musical, how many fans have seen it multiple times, and how Wease has had 100% positive feedback.  We also talk about roles Jay has had in The Sopranos and Louie, and life as a Broadway actor.  Wease, his family, Marianne, and Billy and Susan are all going to the 1pm matinee this Sunday.

Extreme Kidnapping

We speak to Adam Thicke (not sitcom star Alan Thicke), who has a business that'sa new craze for thrill-seekers called, get this, extreme kidnapping that gives adrenaline junkies the experience of being abducted without the actual danger

Adam says he was inspired by the movie "The Game" where michael douglas pays to introduce twisted excitement into his life.  There are many different scenarios that can be role played, how physical and scary it can be... you can even get kidnapped by hot chicks, stun gunned, etc...

They were recently featured in GQ Magazine and Good Morning America.
