Hump Day Begins
We start the morning with the viral sports story of the day... Bills GM Buddy Nix and Tampa Bay GM Mark Dominik being pranked by a couple kids. Here's an explanation of what went down with some help from Yahoo's Shutdown Corner, along with the audio from Deadspin...
On Thursday afternoon, a couple of 20-year-olds decided to ring Buddy Nix and claim to be Dominik, using a completely public phone number.
The only trouble was that their ploy worked, and they were left without any idea of what to do with their newfound audience, so they hung up on the man.
But Nix called them back, again and again. Instead of panicking, our evil geniuses decided to see just how far they could take this prank.
They called Dominik with the thought of getting these two in an endless loop of useless calls, but fate decided to get in on the hilarity:
So they rang up the Buccaneers, but while on with Dominik's secretary, Buddy Nix called again. It was perfect. They answered Nix's call, then fell silent while they were patched through to Dominik. They put the call on speaker, recorded with a second cell phone, and sat back and listened to the fun.

As you would expect, the conversation starts with some confusion, as only a phone call neither man actually planned begins.
Nix offers jokingly, "I've called you back a hundred times!" Dominik, ever the polite gentleman, guarantees that he would never string Nix along.
The general managers then do what general managers do, and that's whine and moan about the state of the league. This time it's the topical issue of the free agency period and the new rule that states teams can talk to free agents at midnight Friday night, but have to wait until Tuesday to sign them.
As for the juiciest part of this gab session, it would have to be when Nix discusses the finer points of his resident, non-franchise quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Here is how Nix sees his gunslinger:
We're still struggling here with our quarterback...We're not really struggling--he's going to have to do something, or we'll have to...
We just can't afford to pay that kind of money for a guy who's fighting for probably a backup job.
Sort of weird that Fitzpatrick was released after the audio was released.

Wease gets John's take on the Buddy Nix audio, and how embarrassing it is that this is our guy representing the local NFL team.
As expected, the Bills did nothing on the opening day of free agency. Miami signed WR Mike Wallace away from the Steelers. Buffalo did cut QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, leaving Tavares Jackson as our starter, although expect a QB or two to be drafted.
Sabres with a win over the Rangers last night thanks to a strong performance by backup goalie Enroth... his first win since November of 2011.
This Day In History... 232 years ago . . . in 1781 - William Herschel DISCOVERED URANUS, the seventh planet from the sun. It was the first planet to be discovered with the aid of a telescope. This leads to a bunch of "Yer Anus" jokes. How did the planet get it's name? Uranus is the Greek deity of the sky.
McQuaid Prom Controversy
After yesterday's show Pauly was approached by someone close to a story he tells us about today. At McQuaid high school there are a couple gay kids (a junior and a sophmore) that are out, popular, and accepted by their peers.
With prom season coming up this couple went to their school counsellor to see if it was an issue for them to go together as a couple. After a couple weeks of the school deliberating, and talking to their superiors, the couple was denied the request, and are disappointed with the decision. Many people in the school's administration are also supportive of the guys, but are caught between a rock and a hard place when enforcing rules handed down to them, and how the religious policies of the school are also an issue.
On the other hand, tuition is almost $11,000, and the Catholic religion is a huge money maker, so should the people paying to go to this school be in the decision making process. Also, at what point should school rules move forward with society, which is becoming way more open to homosexuality.
One of the boys in the couple calls in to tell us how disappointed he is in the decision, but does not blame the school, but rather the Jesuits above the local administration. As we said earlier, the boys feel supported and respected. He does bring up the point that at Mercy a lesbian couple was allowed to attend prom together.
Lots of calls in support of these guys, and a couple that played devil's advocate. Hopefully the decision is reversed, but to quote Wease... "Wimmens Is Crazy, And Rules Is Rules".

Stephanie "Sister Sleaze" Miller
Yesterday we learned Wease has extrordinarily high mercury levels in his system, and a listener called to say Wease's old sidekick Stephanie Miller had the same problem a couple years ago, so we giver her a call to ask about it.
Stephanie reminds us that she is a lesbian, so there is something that both she and Wease eat that may be the culprit.
Seriously though, Stephanie said she was eating tuna and sushi almost everyday, as does Wease. She had to go off fish for awhile, take a medication for a few weeks, and then slowly reintroduce her system to seafood, but not eat as much as sh had in the past. This depressses Wease... he loves his fishes.
Sports Memorabilia
Wease got an email yesterday offering him some incredible "bargains" on memorabilia... for instance you can get a pair of seats from the old Yanhee Stadium for only $900, normally $2900. For only $400 get a mini helmet signed by Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning. We wind up talking about stuff we would actually sopend money on.... what type of memorabilia is worth it to you?

Ask Wease
First email from a listener who wants Wease to comment on something a doctor told her... A 49 year old woman that is still menstruating can't have a baby. She's never going to him again. What does Wease think. We have no idea, and no comments.
What are the last books Wease and Billy have read. Wease talks about Penn Jillette's "God No". Billy says his was "Spinning The Globe", a history of The Harlem Globetrotters. There are actually a couple books he's read since, but was afraid Wease would make fun of him... hear about those on today'sn Producer's Podcast later this afternoon.
What is Wease's thoughts on the possible legalization of MMA and UFC in New York. Wease has never been a fan of MMA, thinking it's barbaric, but if it's properly regulated and taxed it's not the worst thing.
An emailer wants to know if it's okay to say words like "fart" and "piss" in front of his 7 year old... his wife doesn't think so. Do I even have to tell you Wease's answer? I think you can guess.
A Facebook question... what does Wease think of a private school education vs. public school? For the money a private education costs it should be better.
Fan Mail
Some woman found a huge batch of TAYLOR SWIFT fan mail, a lot of it unopened, in a Nashville recycling bin. Taylor's people were contacted and, surprise, they're downplaying it saying the unopened letters were "misplaced."
This leads Wease into the story from many years ago where he was backstage at a Backstreet Boys concert at Darien Lake where he came into possesion of a bunch of mail meant for the singing group. Wease wound up calling a little girl from Canada, with Billy pretending to be Nick Carter, and how much joy the little girl got from talking to "Nick". Probably the loudest Billy has ever made a girl scream. Here are Nick and Billy... see the resemblence?
Speaking of Nick Carter and The Backstreet Boys, they were coincidentally in our prep today for a weird video they've done.... For some reason, the BACKSTREET BOYS did a photo and video shoot that include NICK CARTER smashing A.J. MCLEAN in the junk with a baseball bat.

If your girl tried a new sex move on you that she's never done before would you be suspicious? Where did she learn it? Another dude? porn? 50 Shades Of Gray? A caller tells us his chick talks sex with her friends, and may come up with some tricks from them.
