Daylight Savings Time
We set the clocks ahead yesterday . . . hope you remembered, or YOU'RE LATE. Anyway, in a new survey, about 61% of Americans say they SIGNIFICANTLY feel the effects of losing that hour of sleep. And about 40% say it will take them this ENTIRE WEEK to get adjusted. Most people get to sleep later on Sunday, so why can't you just make up the extra hour then?
Wease and Pauly try and figure out why DST exists, including that it was created for farming, energy conservation, safety for school kids, etc...
Pauly has the great idea that we should move the clocks ahead at 2 in the afternoon on a Monday, then it would be holiday for workers instead of a day that people dread.
Tools With Sports
A crazy brawl erupted in the World Baseball Classic when Canada bunted up 9-3 in the 9th inning, and Mexico was upset that Canada was running up the score (even though total runs is a factor in the WBC).
The Miami Heat have won 18 in a row, but the record is 33 straight, so they still have a ways to go.
Wease brings up a documentary he saw this weekend called "Bigger Stronger Faster". It's a look at America's preoccupation with performance enhancing drugs, and the effects (both pro and con) on the people that use them. A caller informs us that one of the main subjects of the film, pro wrestler Mike Bell (brother of the movie's director Chris Bell) died just months after the films release, but of an unrelated drug overdose. Wease can't recommend it high enough... one of the best movies he's ever seen.
Wease's All Documentary Weekend
Besides the steroids documentary Wease also saw "Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Jorney" and "Sound City" over the weekend. Sound City is the Dave Grohl movie about a legendary recording studio used by tons of classic rock artists like Fleetwood Mac. Wease thought this flick was too boring, even for a music fan like himself, droning on and on.
Don't Stop Believin' is the story of the Filipino dude that replaced Steve Perry in Journey. This movie has completely turned around Wease's opinion of the "new" singer... he now loves him... and really loved the behind the scenes look at the band.

An Ontario County woman was arrested Sunday after police say she was selling heroin in Canandaigua.
Kayla Ross, 23, was charged with sale and possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities say Ross had three hypodermic needles and 79 bags with heroin residue when she was arrested.
Ross is being held in the Ontario County Jail on $4,000 cash, or $8,000 bond.
We wonder what caused the facial marks.... drugs? birthmarks? chicken pox? A guy that was her landlord says she was hot until she started doing drugs, and now picks at her skin, causing the ugliness. Here she is pre scabs...

Over the weekend Wease went to the restaurant Lucano's, and loved the artwork there by an artist named Dick Luby. This leads to a discussion of all the cool art Rochester has, from museums to Artisan Works to galleries.... although we do have trouble "getting" abstract art. We'd rather have pictures where we can tell what they're supposed to be.
I guess this proves you're into GWEN STEFANI for her music and KEIRA KNIGHTLEY for her acting.

While discussing a news story about a police officer getting busted for DWI we get into a long discussion of various DWI rules for jobs. We learn that commercial truck drivers can't even have an alcohol level of .04 in their own personal vehicles. Thanks to the listeners that call with their own personal experiences, and school us on the rules of drunk driving.
DWI Part 2
A half-naked DUI suspect tried to flee the scene of a car crash in a child's toy truck, police said.
Jamie Craft, 28, was not wearing any pants when she hopped on board the battery-powered toy truck — which has a top speed of just 5 mph — to make her escape.
Her attempted getaway came moments after she allegedly slammed herPontiac Grand Am into the side of a trailer home in Jonesboro, Ark., on Tuesday.
Cops gave chase — on foot — and arrested her within minutes.
