Tuesday's Trends

Everyday Pauly prints out "What's Trending" so we know what people are Googling, and looking up on Yahoo.  Here is this morning's Yahoo list...

Rick Huxley?  Who's that?  Turns out he's the bass player from The Dave Clark 5, a band Billy likes, but didn't know the name.  How do things wind up trending about people who aren't household names?  That debate leads to a "Glad All Over" sing along....

Wease also talks about the movie "Side Effects", which he saw last night.  It stars Jude Law, Rooney Mara, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and is a suspense thriller with tons of twists and turns.  Wease sees it as a quality flick, but likes lighter movies with more likable characters.

Tools With Sports

Wease and Tools bemoan last nights Sabres loss to the Ottawa Senators, where Buffalo couldn't even score one goal.

Larry Bird’s son arrested, accused of trying to hit his ex-girlfriend with his car on Indiana University campus

According to multiple reports, the NBA Hall of Famer's adopted son had pot on him when he was arrested on Sunday. The row between the two apparently started in Bird's apartment where he threw a cell phone at his ex, cops say.

At least his being adopted kept him from getting his dad's looks...

A source says O.J. SIMPSON threw a Super Bowl party behind bars . . . and another source claims he might be turning GAY.  That source says, quote, "He's doesn't even talk about women, just about guys.  It doesn't sound to me like he's straight anymore!"  Also, he hangs out with a group of gay men known as THE GIRLS, and they call him DJ, which is short for DADDY JUICE.

The other big story is a $300,000 loan taken out by QB Vince Young, despite the fact he made at least 25 million in the past 6 years.  How did Vince wind up broke in such a short time?

King Felix And Sports Money

As long as we were speaking of the money that althletes make we talk about the new contract of Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez... 7 years/175 million.  He doesn't have to bat, and only plays once every five days.  Minimum MLB salary is $480,000.  If you make half a million do you get outraged looking at the really rich guys?  We dream about what it's like to make that much money, and it's for playing a game.

What Year Was It?

We play one of our favorite games, "What Year Was It?" for tickets to see stars from General Hospital play rock and roll with their band 'Port Chuck" at The Water Street Music Hall tomorrow night.  We tell people about 3 things that happened in the same year, give a multiple choice about what year that is, and ask the caller to choose one of those choices.  The number of people that get confused and can't do that gives us a headache.

Ash Wednesday

Pauly gets a text from his mom reminding him today is Ash Wednesday, and asks him to go to church today.  Pauly has recently been questioning his Catholic upbringing because of the pedophilia scandal that has rocked the religion over the past couple decades, especially since seeing an HBO documentary called "Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence In The House Of God".  Listeners call to try and help Pauly through his questioning of faith.

Ask Wease

#1  How did Wease meet Doreen through the show?  He's mentioned it a couple times, but what's the story?  Wease tells about how a boyfriend  of hers was a caller, and Wease heard a big mouth chick in the background, and asked to talk to her.  She was funny and smart, and would from then on occasionally sit in on the show when someone was off, they became friends, and when Wease wound up divorced from his 2nd wife their friendship grew.

#2  If Wease knew his teenage kid's friends were drinking would Wease tell the parents?  Wease says he's not that great a parent, and knows he should tell, but doesn't think he would.  What he would do is give the kid a talking to himself, Wease style.

#3  Is there things to do on a budget if you're going to NYC?  People watching, and just wandering the streets of NYC is always fun.  Billy is going to NYC in a few weeks, and will be seeing Jimmy Fallon's show for free, and going to a comedy club where some of the biggest names in comedy perform on a regular basis.

#4  If you had an extra $5000-$8000 and were hoping to double it legally what would you do?  Ummmm... go to Vegas?

If You Could Read My Mind...

We're joined on the phone by psychic Victoria Bullis.  She starts by telling us how she's done other radio shows, like one hosted by a guy named BJ Shea.  If she's such a good psychic how come she didn't know Wease and BJ used to be partners?

For Valentine's Day she tries to help us get in touch with our intuitive sides, and the best ways to pick up on signs from other people.  She also shocks us by telling Wease that Michael Jackson's spirit is hanging out in the studio.  Normally we'd think that was ridiculous, but in this case.... oh yeah, we do think it's ridiculous.

Oral History

If there's one thing pretty much all men can agree on, it's that they believe they're SUPER TALENTED when it comes to "performing" down there on a woman.  22% say they're a MASTER, 40% say they're better than most, and 27% say they're about average . . . meaning 89% think they're average or above average.  Only 11% of men admit they could use some help.

Wease is one of those that thinks he's way above average in this talent, and we believe him.  He learned from Sam Kinison to "lick the alphabet".  A female listener wants to know if it's possible for a woman to give a bad knobber.  Yes (one word... teeth).

The Church Of Weaseus Christ

We speak to George Martin Freeman.  He's the residing elder at the Universal Life Church, where Wease was ordained as a minister yesterday.  He tells us about the churches policy of love for everyone, and excepts lifestyles of all sorts... no bigotry involved.

We get a call from a listener named Jessica, who wants to be the first one married in The Church Of Wease, to her partner Claire.  We will definitely be doing this in the near future.  Thank you for calling Jessica.

We also touch on last night's State Of The Union Address, the awkward moment in the response from Republican Mark Rubio (which you can see HERE), and a "Twisted Tivo" version of the speech, with some moments you missed...

Tomorrow's Show

Big show tomorrow... stars on General Hospital in studio with their band Port Chuck, comedian John Dicrosta, Geezers Vs. Douchebags, John Ditulluio with sports, Doug Emblidge news, and anything else that Wease wants to talk about.  It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.
