Pope Pauly G. ?

The world was shocked yesterday by the resignation of Pope Benedict.  We've since learned that the only real rules for being the new Pope is you have to be Catholic and single.  Pauly's brother has put in an application (or whatever you do), and our own Pauly G. may follow suit.

In TV news... AMC's "The Walking Dead" attracted a big audience of 12.3 million viewers on Sunday night.  That was its biggest audience EVER . . . and a HUGE number considering it's on cable, and it went up against the Grammys.  The show's previous high was the 10.9 million viewers who watched the third season premiere in October.  Pauly and Billy are jumping on board, watching the first couple seasons on Netflix and DVD.

Tools With Sports

Nick Barnett and George Wilson have been released by the Buffalo Bills.

Michael Vick has signed a 1 year contract for 7 million.

Tools didn't have the big local sports story of the day... A local pup is looking to be "top dog" at the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this week.

"Scout," a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and his owner Terri Clingerman from North Rose, Wayne County are competing for the "Best In Breed" award Monday night.

If he wins, "Scout" will then go on to compete in the Best In Show category tomorrow night.

Competition will be tough, though. There are more than 2,700 entries in the entire competition this year, the most ever in the show's 137-year history.

The other big news in sports are the models from this years Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue were on Letterman last night to do the Top 10 list...

Jesus Is My N***a

It's unclear whether this is legitimate or a joke, but there's a video on YouTube from the West Dubuque Second Church of Christ in West Dubuque, Iowa called "Rappin for Jesus."  It's the white pastor of the church, named Pastor Jim Colerick, and his white wife, rapping about how "Jesus Is My [N-word]."  At the beginning of the video, it says it's for their "Youth Outreach Program."  (--Not that it makes it any less funny, but this is probably a fake.  The church's website says they've been closed since 2004 . . . but the domain was only registered last month.

This leads to Wease schooling us on how easy it is to become a pastor/minister.  We look into it, and find a website where Wease can become an ordained minister... a few keystrokes and a $35 Visa card payment, and Wease is now allowed to perform marriages and more.  Let us all worship at the Church Of Weaseus.

Morning Show Host Controversy

There is a story in the news about a morning show host in Pittsburgh that quit his show because he's so passionate a liberal about gun control laws he couldn't take fighting with right wing listeners anymore.  Wease once left the studio for a little while after an argument with Pauly, but would Reverend Wease ever leave the show because of arguing with callers?  For the sake of our jobs we hope not.

Devil May Care

We're joined by Anastasia and Jenny, owners of Devil May Care, a boutique at 775 Park Ave. that specializes in sexy lingerie and other stuff that will make your Valentine's Day even hotter.  They want to supply with you everything you'll need to lead a sexy lifestyle, including chocolate love tonic, fetish gear, vintage Playboys, and more.

Parenting

We talk about the 15 year old accused of beating his aunt Sunday morning under the influence of bath salts, which leads to a discussion of parenting, and the role parents play in teaching kids the dangers of drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc...  Lots of calls from listeners that have experiences with kids, and the peer pressure teens face.

On This Date...

46 years ago . . . in 1967 - Fifteen police officers raided KEITH RICHARDS' home in England.  They found "various substances of a suspicious nature", including heroin, hashish, pills and MICK JAGGER'S naked girlfriend, MARIANNE FAITHFULL.  We think it's funny how times have changed where The Stones can have every drug known to man and fans don't care, but Bieber is catching flack for maybe smoking pot.

According to a new study by the University of California, San Francisco, about 2,500 people a year go to the emergency room after injuring themselves while shaving . . . THEIR GENITALS.  That's five times as many as injured themselves in 2002.  3% of all genital and urinary tract injuries are caused by attempts to groom down there.  This story leads to talk of manscaping... luckily none of us have hurt ourselves.  Pauly asked when did women get the memo that full bush was out and shaved was in when it comes to female grooming?  It probably has something to do with bathing suits getting smaller.
