Wease Show Back... It's 2013
It appears the big news of the day is Russ Brandon taking over as president of The Buffalo Bills, and how he is now the final word. We find this a little confusing... does Ralph Wilson still have final say, or is he completely out of the decision making process?
A call from a listener who is a Greece fireman that wanted to thank the civilians that were kind and helpful over the weekend during the viewings and funerals of the Webster firefighters that were killed on Christmas Eve.
Talking about a book Wease read where one of the main character is a stripper leads to the question if strippers that go someone's house for private parties hold a higher standard than dancers that work at clubs. This question isn't really answered (although Wease doesn't think so), but it leads to a funny story from Pauly about the time he tried to hire strippers, and asked the "dispatch" about extras that he hoped would happen... and would pay for. The lady wound up threatening to call the police on Pauly if he continued to call.
Tools With Sports
We discuss Russ Brandon's promotion, which leads to talking about Chan Gailey's firing, and who we'd like to replace him as head coach. Lovie Smith was Wease's choice, until Tools convinced him that a college coach may be the way to go instead of just rotating all the guys that got fired on Monday.
Other questions raised...
Who would hire Andy Reid? How did Rex Ryan not get fired? Should Buddy Nix be fired (and has his southern accent gotten worse since coming to Buffalo)? Should Seattle's Russell Wilson be Rookie Of The Year, or RG III? Will the Packers bounce back against the Vikings (Tools says take it to the bank)?
Wease In Trouble Again
Doreen's birthday was over the holiday, so a small party was had a couple nights ago. An ice cream cake was ordered because that is Doreen's favorite, but after picking it up Wease decided (because the freezer was already full of his Jenny Craig food) that it was ok to put the cake on top of the fridge that is out in the garage. Later that night Wease and Doreen brought the cake to the get together that was also attended by Jake, his girlfriend, and her parents (the first time they had met Wease). It should surprise no one that when it came time to open the cake it was completely melted. Doreen was upset.
Doreen calls in to tell us how her birthday gets neglected because it's Dec. 26th. She tells us how Wease snuck out of bed at night because he realized he had no card for her, but never forgets a poker night. A caller reminded Doreen that she was in the Carribean on her birthday, and to be grateful. They then tell about having to go to Midnight Mass on Christmas. Wease was in the last row, and decided to leave halfway thru (to his credit that was still an hour and a half). Wease was annoyed by rap music playing loud outside the church, the mass in general, the length, etc... but he did find time to take a nap in church.
Speaking of religion, Pauly says he found God this weekend. His satellite dish was having problems this past Sunday, and he was panicking about not being able to watch football, so he was considering climbing on his roof to see if he could fix the situation. Pauly was worried that he could hurt himself doing that, but was about to attempt it when Ryann told him breakfast was ready. While he was eating his french toast the TV signal came back, and all was good. Praise Jesus!!!!

Wease and Doug then talk about the parties they attended on New Years Eve. Wease never did make it to Pauly's house, but after seeing this pic of Wease drunk that night we understand why...
Celebrity Gossip/Electronics

Did you hear that Kim Kardashian is pregnant with Kanye West's? How did they find out? The E! Pregnancy Test.
We then discuss the various ways you can get all the entertainment you need foir your TV. Wease is thinking about switching to a satellite dish to save some cash, and listeners tell us about all the other ways to watch TV... Apple TV, Roku, the various websites you can get on your TV, etc... We learned more than we ever thought we would about electrronics.
New Years Eve TV
We discuss the various TV shows ringing in the New Year. Did you see Jenny McCarthy kissing the blister lipped sailor?
and did you see Kathy Griffin trying to kiss Anderson Cooper's private parts on CNN? I bet that's the first time that's ever happened.
Wease Vacation Hell
Wease and his whole family were in St. Kitts for the Christmas break, and a couple times over the week Wease's superhero identity "Grump Man" showed up. Wease was first annoyed by a guy that ran a bar on the beach. The guy was nice to Jake and Abby, but when Wease went down to say hi the guy was a bit of a douchebag, acting like a snotty rich guy, doing jokes that Wease didn't get, etc... Actually, you can't blame Wease for being grumpy if he's being being treated badly.
Grump Man showed up again at a restaurant where they had a guy playing a steel drum to classic hits like Sexual Healing. Wease was hoping to relax and chat during dinner, not have some guy playing drums next to his head. Once again I can't blame him.
Wease also had a celebrity encounter at the Charlotte airport where a fellow traveler approached someone near Wease for an autograph. Wease learned by evesdropping that the "celebrity" was a magiacian/actor, but didn't know who it was. Billy figured out it was Ricky Jay...
Snapchat
We learn about "Snapchat". Snapchat is a photo messaging application. Using the app, users can take photos, record videos, add text and drawings, and send them to a controlled list of recipients. Users can set a time limit for how long recipients can view their photos, up to 10 seconds, after which they will disappear. It's being used for sexting, and sending naked pics, because the pics will disappear after 10 secs and not stick around to get the sender busted.
Wease is concerned where technology will go in the future, and what will happen to his kids. Is there a way things can get pulled back? Even if we find out cell phones cause cancer would people stop using them? It sure doesn't stop smokers from staying away from cigarettes. What if there are things that are bad for you that we're not aware of yet? This leads to a long discussion of the things we do that are bad for us, what we need to do to stay healthy, and how to delay our inevitable deaths. Happy New Year!!!
Ask Wease
Via email.... Lisa's son made the bad decision of getting a tattoo from a "friend", and it wound up bad. Can it be fixed? Wease says "yup"... coverups are common.
Another listener is concerned that his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is still in the picture. They're still friends, and he is still making moves on her, hoping to get her back in bed. Should he confront? Wease thinks that first he should talk to his girlfriend and see how she's feeling. Then confront the guy and tell him to lay off.
Another email asks if Wease has any New Year's Resolutions. He says he wants to try and treat Doreen nicer. The keyword is "try", but he can't help it if Wimmin's Is Crazy.
A caller thinks Emily "EJ The DJ" sounds cute on the radio, and wants to know if there are any pics of her. Ask, and you shall receive...

Ask Wease Part 2
A listener writes in worried that next year's Christmas won't be the same because her husband wants to go on vacation instead of having a traditional holiday. Wease says she's right, it won't be the same.... it'll be better!!! After spending years of trying to make spoiled kids happy he realized how much better it was just going on a nice trip with his wife and kids... and the kids still wind up spoiled.
Next question... is it wrong to leave a New Year's Eve party before midnight if you have no other plans, and had told the hosts that. Bad move... always have a backup excuse if things are going bad. Emily tells how much more fun she had at Pauly's party than where she went afterwards, where there were too many drunks, people getting in fights (including a girl fight), and things just being unpleasant.
Tomorrow/Plugs
Comedian Bob DiBuono joins us, we'll be playing America's favorite gameshow "Geezers Vs Douchebags", and revealing the catagories in this years "Urine Review" Awards. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.
