I've been saying this for years and now there is evidence to back me up.
According to a new survey, the hardest night to get to sleep is Sunday. Two out of five people said it took longer to get to sleep on Sunday than any other night, and it takes an average of half an hour longer to fall asleep.
It's because we tend to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday mornings so by the time Sunday night rolls around we are all caught up on sleep!!
Saturday was the next-hardest night. Tuesday and Thursday were the two EASIEST nights to fall asleep.
