Nothing like coming back from vacation with a BANG! Thanks a lot Sandy. Today was my first day back from an extended weekend in Virginia where I hung out with my extended family and cooked some chili! My aunt and uncle put on a Charity Chili-Cook Off every year for the National Kidney Foundation. My uncle had a very rare kidney disease a few years back and needed to recieve a new kidney. His wife (my aunt) was a match and donated hers to him! Below are some pictures from the weekend! Nothing beats a vacay with a family where there is chili and a whole lot of beer!

This was the view from my uncle's house. He has a pond, island, gazeebo, pavilion, oh and a civil war cemetary in his backyard!

Here was our set-up for the Chili Cook-Off. Our team name was Damn Yankees, and we actually did pretty well. We finished in 7th place out of 16 teams.

Here's a part of the display at my uncle's tent. Yes, that's a toilet hooked up to fog machine!

There was also a silent auction at the cook-off. I won this! It's a poster of the original "Remember The Titans" team from back in 1971 with signatures. Paid $50 for it!
