Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
The weather is the big story locally... lots and lots of snow, so be careful. Wease talks about his scary ride in, and how it's even worse than yesterday (which was really bad). He tells a story about an huge argument he got into with Doreen yesterday because Doreen insisted on going out into the storm to take Lucy to the mall.
No real reason to go to the mall, but Lucy wanted to go. Wease wound up driving Doreen, Lucy, and her friend and spent 2 hours sitting in the car while the females shopped. White knuckle driving the whole way, and on the ride home we think even Doreen realized that they shouldn't have gone.
A big show today including Clear Channel's newest employee Bill Moran in studio at 9am... the first time they've been on the radio together since Wease left his old station and Moran took the show over.
Also one of our favorite comedians Guy Torry in studio.
Tools With Sports
Wease is upset that he didn't take John's advice yesterday and bet on Oklahoma +14 in the Sugar Bowl. They not only covered, they upset Alabama 45-31.
Hopefully you were watching the high scoring football game instead of the terrible Sabres game. Buffalo lost 4-1.
Our favorite story of the day involves Bills star Mario Williams and his fiance that wanted to keep the $800,000 ring after their breakup.
21 years ago today was the famous comeback game where Frank Reich and the Buffalo Bills came back from a 32 point defecit against the Houston Oilers in the playoffs.
Marshall Fine Film Reviews
Not much new this week... just the new Paranormal Activity flick, which Marsh didn't see... so he and Wease talk about some of the older releases that Wease had seen, and "Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" with Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig. Marshall says it's half a good movie, like the early part that is a sweet fantasy, but says it loses steam in the second half as it becomes an action film.
Wease also talks about watching the documentary about drummer Ginger Baker "Beware Of Mr. Baker". Wease thought it was a really interesting movie, but Baker is a crazy, unlikable human being.
Doug With News
Guy Torry is one of our favorite comedians, is in studio with us, and at The Comedy Club all weekend. A mistake in Guy's bio leads to a funny discussion of misinformation on Wikipedia.
Guy is also a huge sports fan, talking about being a season ticket holder for the Lakers, Clippers, and LA Kings. Wease asks him about being a black guy that's starting to dig hockey.
Wease Airline Hell
Wease has another vacation story he hadn't told yet... He tells us how his son Jake missed 2 flights going to St. Kitts, and wound up paying for 3 total plane tickets to get him to the family vacation, only using one. Wease was really mad, especially when he thought his son didn't make it.
Bill Moran On The Wease Show
Starting Monday on one of our sister stations a new show is starting hosted by Wease's former producer/co-host Bill Moran. Since Wease came here there was a bitter rivalry between the two, but now they're back in the same company and are airing the grievances that existed, dispelling stories they feel aren't true, and telling tales of the old days. Some listeners don't want to forgive and forget, some are happy that the two former friends and coworkers are talking again.
Pauly's Home Problem
Earlier this morning Pauly got a phone call from his girlfriend Ryann... there was a guy pounding on there door demading to see the room that was for rent. He was persistant, wandering around their house, she was terrified and called Pauly. Pauly told her to call the police, and not him. The police came, and it turned out an upstairs renter had placed the ad, which leads us to believe that the guy that lives upstairs is renting his room out to guys with hookers.
We also revisit a topic we touched on yesterday... the Sexual Bucket List. Pauly found this list yesterday, but earlier today we all went thru the list, counted up what we've done, and discuss some of the things we have and haven't accomplished...
