Scandal Rocks Rochester
A bid rigging scandal, and the arrests made yesterday, is the HUGE news in Rochester this morning. The part of the story that makes this bigger news than normal is that one of the accused is the husband of County Executive Maggie Brooks. She held a press conference yesterday afternoon, and gave lots of politically correct answers.
The other big story this morning is reported to us by 13 WHAM's Evan Dawson, who calls us to report.
Police and ambulances sped to the Bay Bridge around 4 o'clock Thursday morning. The bridge was shut down but is now open again. A robbery suspect had stopped in the middle of the bridge--and then jumped off. He landed on a concrete bridge support and survived the fall. He is injured, but according to police he was alert (and cursing) when police took him into custody. The Bay Bridge is now reopened.
This leads to callers with bridge stories of their own.
Ya know who's glad this guy jumped from the bridge? Maggie Brooks. It's took the focus off of her in the news for a few minutes.

The bullying story between Miami Dolphins Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito keeps getting weirder with more teammates defending Incognito, QB Ryan Tannehill saying Martin and Incognito were best friends. It seems that even though publicly Martin is the victim more and more people are defending Incognito, with the black players on the team also siding with the alleged bully (who is white), despite the racial overtones to the story.
James Nobles In Studio
Rochester's top defense attorney James Nobles joins us in studio to discuss the arrest of the 4 men yesterday, including Maggie Brooks husband, and the illegal press release that notified the media of what was happening. James goes through many aspects of the case, and why he believes things were done wrong regarding his client, Robert Wiesner (Maggie Brooks' husband).

Inside Edition Busts Hotel Scam
Wease watched Inside Edition last night and was bugged by a story they did busting a hotel in the Dominican that supplies lousy rooms, but good weed and hookers. The only thing Wease sees bad about this is the lousy rooms. Wease tells stories about some of his travelling exploits involving the seedier sides of life.
Wease received and email from out friend, film critic Jack Garner, saying he was stranded in the Ukraine, had lost his wallet, was having trouble at his hotel, and needed money. The crazy situation and awful grammar made it easy to tell that it was a scam, and that Jack had been hacked. We call Jack, who tells us about the hassle since discovering the situation this morning.
