Albion Police Arrest Two Men After Kidnapping

WHEC - "Albion police have charged two men after a report of a kidnapping.

Officers say the Orleans County 911 received a report from a person saying a family member had been kidnapped and was being held against her will.

Officers say the victim had sent text with some information about where she was. Using GPS tech, officers were able to determine the victim was at 51 Beachwood Boulevard in Albion.

Police say when they went to the suspect home, they found two men inside. One man was arrested, but the other resisted; three officers were injured taking him into custody, police say.

Inside the home, the victim was found unresponsive. She was rushed to a hospital and later transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.

As a result of the case, 39-year-old Demetrius Bennett and 31-year-old Mark Bennett were arrested. Both men are charged with unlawful imprisonment and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Demetrius is also charged with resisting arrest, harassment and obstructing government administration. Markt faces an additional possession of a hypodermic instrument.

Both men are being held in Orleans County Jail."
